As of 10:00 a.m. local time, our technical problems may, I repeat may, have been resolved. There are good stories to share from that, as the entire Ballyliffin Golf Club organization mobilized to assist us. I hope to catch everyone up on our first few days shortly.
Need to run one last set of errands this afternoon, to hopefully deal with one last issue. Then some measure of regular blogging will resume.
We got caught in two showers in nine holes this morning, and are currently sitting in the bar watching the third storm hit. The forecast looking forward is a bit dire, unless of course you happen to be a penguin.
As you look towards the village with your back to Pollan Bay, there's a series of hills over which storms descend on Ballyliffin. The speed with which this happens is quite staggering, as noted in my initial post. We saw this again today as we hunkered in the 16th fairway of Glashedy being pounded by the rain, staring down at our shadows. Seems like a rainbow should have been involved, but alas not.
More soon.
